Promotion chasing Crystal Palace visit Hillsborough knowing that 3 points against a team battling hard against relegation, would make huge strides towards a return to the Premier League. The Owls have started looking over their shoulder as the trapdoor to League One creaks open and a resurgent Barnsley embarking an upturn of fortunes keep Wednesday firmly in the mix. nPower Championship: Crystal Palace
Selhurst Park was to be the Owls first stop since the closing of the transfer window, after late additions to the squad in the form of Jay Bothroyd and Martin Taylor - neither making the starting lineup (Taylor was on the bench).
Straight from the referees whistle Crystal Palace made their intentions clear, bearing down on Chris Kirkland's area - Zaha taking the ball on a lightening paced run, passing to Bolasi who in turn provided a cross to Glenn Murray, leaving the striker to slot home from 4 yards out. 30 seconds on the clock and the Owls were 1-0 down.
