nPower Championship: Millwall FC

The highest Championship crowd of the day witnessed a game that again showed the Owls' determination and 'comebackability'.

The ever-improving Jermaine Johnson started with a performance that will strike fear into all Championship defences, concluding his mazy run with a rocket of a right-footed strike, flying past the keeper and opening the scoring for the day.
The celebrations were something the London side would have been used to seeing, the 'Mobot' and the 'Bolt' - made famous by 2 of the brightest stars at London 2012. After being in control for the majority of the first half, Wednesday released the pressure and allowed Millwall to grow back into the game - so it came as no surprise when a 35th minute cross by Keogh found Henry who looped a delightful first time strike up and over Chris Kirkland. Now with the conditions deteriorating - Millwall were in the ascendancy and doubled their goal tally on the 43rd minute, Trotter slotting home past the Owls keeper.

HT.

The first goal of the second half went the way of Wednesday - a Miguel Llera shot after a goal mouth scramble finding the back of the net. Nothing less than the Owls deserved. With the Hillsborough faithful in full voice, the home side upped their game again - resulting in a last minute free kick which McCabe placed into the box, finding Chris O'Grady who's shot was blocked, when the ball was put back into the Lions' box, Miguel Llera forced the ball home - sending Hillsborough into jumps of joy!

FT: Owls 3-2 Millwall
Attendance: 24,753

*** This is only a brief match report due to me being at my sister in laws wedding, it didn't stop me constantly checking twitter for updates though! It got to a point where my 8yr old niece walked up to me with arms folded and said: "Let me guess, twitter again?! I think you should come and dance with me instead!" ... what can I say? These occasions happen from time to time, normal service will resume Tuesday! ***
