nPower Championship: Watford FC

A bitterly cold Hillsborough welcomed a Watford team that knew if they left with all 3 points, they would be in a playoff position - whilst the Owls were hoping to avoid a fifth consecutive defeat and another drop into the bottom 3.

nPower Championship: Leicester City

Promotion chasing Leicester headed to Hillsborough with some familiar faces in their ranks. Manager Nigel Pearson, the last SWFC captain to raise a trophy, Ben Marshall - a fans favourite during his loan stint and Jamie Vardy, a Wednesdayite released by SWFC before his rise to Championship football from non-league obscurity.

nPower Championship: Nottingham Forest

A fantastic spectacle of fan appreciation took place at the City Ground when Forest hosted the Owls. As 4,405 Wednesday fans filled the away end, it was clear to see the love the fans have of the midfield enforcer Jose Semedo. Masks, green & maroon balloons, inflatables and numerous Portuguese flags filled the stand as 'Semedo Day' was in full swing.

Remembrance Day. 11/11/2012

A brief poem I've written for today. Wear your Poppy's with pride. Never forget.

Lest we forget the fallen heroes.
Lest we forget the bravery they showed.
We have our today,
For they gave their tomorrow's.
Lest we forget the lengths they did go.

Fallen, yes - but forgotten, no.

nPower Championship: Middlesborough FC

The Owls travel to the tip of North Yorkshire to face the in-form Middlesborough, with a near sell-out stadium and the biggest attendance at the Riverside Stadium since Manchester United visited in 2009. If Middlesborough win they climb to the summit of English footballs second tier. An impeccable 2min silence of remembrance preceded the opening whistle.

nPower Championship: Blackpool FC

An enticing match was set for Hillsborough when the Tangerines arrived on Tuesday evening. Manager-less, after Ian Holloway departed for Crystal Palace, but with talent throughout the team. Could Wednesday make it 3 wins out of 3?

Sunday 4 November 2012

nPower Championship: Peterborough Utd

Sheffield Wednesday welcome fellow bottom 3 side, Peterborough United to Hillsborough where the Owls are without a win since August. All 3 points for either side would see them climb away from the early season relegation zone.
